In 1982 Jaroslava and I were working as artists in residence at the now famous Pilchuck Glass School. We showed the students examples of work by Czechoslovak glass artists. Dana Zamecnikova's pieces greatly resonated with teachers and staff at the school for their completely new spatial visual order. The following year she taught her own course at the school to students from all around the world. I respect Dana not only as a talented teacher, but also for the significant artistic contribution her work represents.
